Woman Wakes Up to the Most Intense Cricket Infestation of All Time

"Better than spiders is all I can say."

That's how one TikTok user reacted to a video from Elko Nevada, where a supermassive swarm of migrating mormon crickets have taken over the neighborhood. 

One woman, Colette Reynolds, has racked up millions of views on multiple videos of the unfathomable infestation around her house. 

"That's it, Jesus is coming, you better repent," she says. 

"If you need Mike, he'll be out there spraying them down," she says about her husband. "If you need me, I'll be in here praying."

She goes on to describe that mormon crickets cross her town on their way to California every single year, but this time there are way more than usual. She also claims that they stink, and carnivorously eat their dead.

"When someone asks me what my version of hell looks like," Laurissa Mercer commented, "this is it." 

According to Colette, mormon cricket eggs can lay dormant for a year, before hatching thousands of crickets. Hopefully, she can clear them soon, and stay cricket-free next year. If not, it might be time to schedule a yearly June vacation.
