While there are certainly more efficient ways to split a watermelon, the most fun way to do it so is by wrapping it in rubber bands until it explodes.

Naturally, doing this takes quite some time. Layering rubber band upon rubber band is a tedious task, and while the stunt has gone viral in recent years, many of those who attempt it give up once they realize they’ve only got one life to live and there are probably better ways to spend their time.

This girl thought she could speed up the explosion process by dropping the watermelon on the ground. In a way, she was right — and she got a bonk in the face to confirm it!
