Woman Reviews ‘House Turned Soul Food Restaurant’ That’s Definitely Getting Shut Down by the Health Department
You just can’t trust restaurants anymore.
Back in the day, you’d know a restaurant was real because you could see it. If you wanted to order food, you would have to call a place or physically go to it — providing you with an indication, albeit imperfect, about whether or not it was a place you really wanted to patronize.
Now, however, that isn’t really the case. Fake restaurants abound, and the prevalence of “ghost kitchens” means that your quesadilla could be being made at an IHOP. Not only that, but the lax regulations around these apps has given people the insane idea that they, too, can be a restaurateur.
Need an example? Check out this man who opened a soul food restaurant in a house — but didn’t really get rid of the whole “house” part of it.
