Walgreens' Boss Threatens to Fire Employee Who Won't Sell Their Crappy Credit Cards
Daniel Bonfiglio Published 11/15/2022
This Walgreens manager is angry at her employee for apparently not trying hard enough to sell their crappy credit cards. The manager, Kelly, accuses the employee of not asking and pushing every customer to buy the credit card, something that the employee claims she is doing. Kelly goes on a rant, saying that whether she likes the credit card or not, it's her job to sell it regardless, and threatens repercussions if she doesn't.
This argument is a microcosm of the debate between prioritizing personal and corporate values, with the employee no doubt valuing the important customer service job of being a pharmacist more than Walgreens's desire to make money off their new credit card. How about Walgreens having my drugs ready when they call? You'd think that would be the priority over running a pharmacy like a bank. It's no wonder that managers like Kelly are losing employees left and right who just, "don't want to work anymore."
