Trump Suggests We Solve Crime by Doing 'The Purge'
Don’t knock the idea until you’ve tried it, I guess.
Crime being rampant is something the news really wants us to believe. In reality, most forms of crime have dropped by about 90 percent over the past three decades, but it certainly doesn’t *feel* like that.
If you ask the average American, they’ll tell you about how they feel more unsafe than they ever have, or about how a gang from (insert foreign country name here) is taking over their city.
Surely there must be a solution to all this crime. Now, Donald Trump has one and, well, it’s just The Purge.
Describing the potential event as “one rough day” (or maybe hour, he changes his mind halfway through), Trump says that something that takes place during this time would solve crime for good. What will it be? Intense police crackdown? Allowing marauding gangs to run the streets for a day? Or just one day where you’re allowed to do whatever the hell you want, consequences and the law be damned?
The real question is, if you do tax fraud and submit on the day of the Purge, does it still count?
Did Trump just f—king suggest “The Purge”?
