A California trucker said he “didn’t have a choice” but to drive through the Delta Fire on Wednesday, September 5, when the blaze ran up to Interstate 5 as he was headed north. Amit Sekhri told Storyful the fire “suddenly picked up” and he had no opportunity to turn around “even knowing it might be dangerous. I was surrounded with fire,” he said."
