Football (not soccer but American Football if you prefer) has been around for going on 153 years. What is considered to be the first American football game was played on November 6, 1869, between Rutgers and Princeton, two college teams. They consisted of 25 players per team and used a round ball that could not be picked up or carried. Obviously, the rules have changed and evolved quite a lot since then with the introduction of passing the ball via throwing it through the air, the snap, and of course the field goal / extra point attempt.
American football is the most popular sport in the United States, and even at the non-professional level nearly 1.1 million high school athletes and 70,000 college athletes play the sport in the United States annually. The NFL has an annual revenue of around $15 billion, making it the most valuable sports league in the world.
The A7 Football league is a full-contact no pads tackle, 7 vs 7 football organization that goes just as hard as the NFL, except without the padding and helmets.
