Back in the day, children’s toys used to be made out of things that could literally kill kids. While it may seem like a bad idea now, this actually served to make a select few children grow up to be rugged and adventurous — and everyone else grow up with a variety of scars that they have to explain every time they take their shirt off.

While most of these structures have been dismantled and replaced by safer, wood-and-plastic alternatives (Boo! Bring back the Fisher Price punji pits!), some remain to this day and are able to be experienced by whoever dares try them.
