Every day we get one step closer to having devices that can actually read our thoughts. Although there are certainly applications for such technology in terms of accessibility, if this stuff was actually rolled out to the general public, it would only be a matter of time before your employer would be monitoring your thoughts to make sure you’re only thinking about work while on the clock.
While these days are certainly approaching, the tech’s integration into everyday life is still eons away. How do I know this? Because scientists have tried to recreate sound by monitoring brain waves, and while it can sound decent, it usually just sounds like this:
