There Are Way Too Many Tourists on the Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China is among the most popular tourist attractions that the country has to offer. Over 10 million people visit the Great Wall every year, using the opportunity to take photos, experience history and, apparently, clog up the historic area with their foot traffic.

As this video shows, navigating the Great Wall on a heavy tourist day is absolute hell. People are packed like sardines, with their time delving into the humanmade marvel interrupted every few seconds by some dick head wielding a selfie stick. If I ever go to China, I’m just going to stick to the big slide.
