The “Osaka Bang” Has Japanese People Pretending to Get Shot

Japan has a weird thing where—no, not that weird thing. Get your mind out of the gutter. I’m talking about the “Osaka Bang.” This is a practice where, if you walk up to someone from Osaka, make a finger gun and go “bang,” they will pretend as though they’ve been shot. Apparently it’s not *crazy* common, but given the lore around it that’s permeated across the internet the past few years, there’s a substantial amount of people in the city who will happily play along and pretend to die if you give them the ol’ finger gun.
