Testing Out a Super Charged Mega Lightbulb
Featured 24 minutes ago
A lighting expert over at PhotonicInduction decided to take an ultra-powerful 20 KW Lightbulb out for a spin and the results were stupendously cooler than one would expect from something as seemingly innocuous as a 'lightbulb test.'
These ridiculously overpowered lightbulbs are the kind typically deployed for large-scale film sets where they can get pretty dang close to replicating the heat and light of the sun itself if pressed to. Backyard floodlights designed to blast an area with light start somewhere around 150 watts -- this thing is twenty kilowatts!
In the video, which we've timestamped to get to the juicy part, this guy shows us just how flat-out stunning it is to switch this thing on and watch it rev it to the max in several different environments. The brightness on the device seems to range from typical backyard flood light all to the way to volanic-nuclear-supernova. One really starts to wonder what this guy's power bill and relationship with his neighbors looks like.
