Russian Hockey Ref Gets Into Fight With Players

As we’ve previously noted many, many times, things work a little bit differently in Russia. Usually, this involves a lot more drinking and punching than we might be used to over here in the States. For example, who could forget that one soccer match that turned into a post-Soviet real life Tekken tournament?

This behavior is apparently not only limited to the players. In this hockey game, one player appeared to get on a ref’s nerves — so much so that the ref decided to take off his helmet and fight the player.

Uh, can you put a ref in the penalty box?
