Remembering When Police Tricked a Bunch of People with Warrants Into Turning Themselves In

Congratulations — you’re under arrest!
If you’re a cop, there are a few ways you can try to nab people with warrants. First, you can actually go out and look for them (boring!), or second, you can hatch a strange scheme in order to get them to come to you (fun!).
These Arizona cops opted for the latter. Back in 2002, they decided to send out letters to people with warrants’ last-known addresses. These letters told them that they won a free DVD player. However, when they arrived, there was no DVD player — only handcuffs.
