Remembering the Most ‘Mission: Impossible’ Style Robbery of All Time

On September 23, 2009, a group of thieves landed on the roof of a cash depot with a stolen helicopter. From there, it only got crazier.

Once they had landed the stolen helicopter, they blasted their way into the building, loading up sacks with Swedish krona and, eventually, making off with a significant amount of money. While the police were already onto them, they managed to outwit them by 1) using submachine guns, which the police were apparently afraid of; and 2) planting fake bombs in certain areas in order to confuse and spook anyone trying to come after them.

Of course, the thieves were eventually caught, in true Scandinavian style, sentenced to five to eight years’ imprisonment. But at least we got this crazy security footage out of it!
