Remembering How Terrible the Super Bowl Halftime Show Used to Be

It was a long, strange journey to Kendrick Lamar calling Drake a pedophile.

Last night, Lamar performed as part of the Super Bowl halftime show. His show divided audiences, with fans loving his performance and people who drank too much in the first half calling it “boring.”

Whether you liked it or not, one thing’s for certain: It sure is a helluva lot better than what audiences had to sit through before. Take, for example, this performance from the 1958 NFL Championship Game (the pre-Super Bowl championship contest), which had women trotting around in reindeer costumes and… that’s it!
