Quitting Jobs I Don't Have

I go around to different businesses that have few employees and I quit a job that I never had in the first place. The catch is that the people want to be nice but they know that I don't work there and usually get pretty confused. If they call me out on not working there, I tell them this is how everybody treats me and is another reason why I am quitting.
