This lady in New South Wales decided to go for a ride on a Ferris wheel while at a local carnival. Sounds like fun, right?

Wrong. Some genius thought it was a good idea to place the carnival right next to an active airport, meaning that light aircraft would be taken off and landing right over the carnival. As anyone hearing this description would expect, the Ferris wheel got struck by the plane.

If you’re scared or sad for the woman, don’t be — not only was she physically fine, but she got a payout of $1.5 million AUD to make up for the trauma.

A million bucks to never ride a Ferris wheel again? Yeah, I’d probably take it.
