Phillies Fans Aren’t Doing Too Hot After Team’s Playoffs Exit
Philadelphia has some of the worst — I mean, uh, *most passionate* sports fans in the U.S.
If you’ve ever been to Philly, you know how much sports can bring the city together. Unfortunately, this is usually bringing the city together in a shared hatred, as evidenced by the wonderful welcome that Eagles fans gave Minnesota Vikings supporters visiting the city.
Recently, the Phillies were eliminated from the playoffs after a 4-1 loss to the New York Mets. Although Philadelphians handle wins and losses equally poorly, it seems that this Phillies defeat has struck a particular chord with residents. As this fan says, “I feel like I might either check into AA, therapy or an institute of some sort because this is crap. It’s full of crap.”
