People Keep Stealing the Olympic Bikes

The Paris Olympics had a wonderful, eco-friendly idea: What if we allowed athletes to use bikes for free? This was eventually rolled out as part of a “green” initiative undertaken by organizers, which also included making uncomfortable beds that you can’t hump on.

Unfortunately, the bike project has been about as successful as the beds, with athletes buying locks and even stealing seats to ensure that the bike’s use will be limited to them and only them. Given how bad the bus service apparently is, I don’t blame them for trying to claim the only form of transport that consistently works. But, joke’s on the seat thieves, it ain’t stopping people from taking the bikes anyway, as this video shows.
