Parents Are Tricking Their Kids Into Pretending to Be Asleep
Braden Bjella Published Yesterday
It never gets old.
Kids love pretending to be asleep. Don’t ask me why, I’m not a parent, but I’m going to guess it has something to do with being awake equating to obligations. If you’re up, you’ve gotta do things; if, however, you’re “asleep,” your parents will leave you alone and, maybe, not make you go to the dentist.
For their part, parents use this tendency as an opportunity to troll their child. For example, this TikTok trend has parents saying, “If my kid is really asleep, their arm will stay up,” then lifting their kids’ arms up and watching their child “stay asleep.”
Very funny.
