Our Generation’s Zapruder Film Ruined by Last Second Selfie

Hey, did you guys hear that someone shot Trump? Although it may have felt at the time that this would be an epoch defining moment — it was on camera! It only barely missed his head! We still have no idea why the shooter did it! — in real life, people have somehow moved on from it. We were millimeters away from seeing a former President’s head pop like a balloon on live TV, and still, we can’t help but get distracted by all of the other crazy stuff that’s happening in the world. Go us.

Regardless, fascination around this event lingers through videos of the rally itself and explorations of the shooter’s position near it. One man was perfectly positioned to capture a video of the attempt, and for a little while, he did — until he felt like it was the right time to go in for an America First selfie. Unfortunately for the history books, that was also the time when a bullet pierced Trump’s ear.
