Ohio Man Calmly Turns Himself Over To Police After 'Accidentally' Shooting Friend
An Ohio man turned himself over to the police after "accidentally" shooting and killing an old friend. The man, 58-year-old Brian E. Mason, seemed incredibly calm while talking to police officers in body camera footage.
"I'm here to turn myself in," he told the police. "I had an accident last night." According to Mason, he was helping his friend borrow a gun when it went off, shooting her in the chest. "I'm just going to detain you right now based off of what you're telling me," said one of the officers.
"If this man is telling the truth and it was an accident he totally screwed himself by not dialing 911 right away," one person commented. "Seems he killed her intentionally, didn’t know what to do next, now his plan is to get a lesser charge," another person theorized.
No matter what his intentions were, the situation is a horrible tragedy. Police found a dead body at the scene of the crime, and Mason was charged with murder. He has pleaded not guilty and is being held on a $1 million bond.
