Oh God, Ukraine Says Russia Just Hit Chernobyl With a Missile

It’s really one of the last places you want to be hit by a missile.

According to Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy, “last night, a Russian attack drone with a high-explosive warhead struck the shelter protecting the world from radiation at the destroyed fourth power unit of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.”

While he says that damage to the shelter is significant, he also claims that radiation levels are presently low, though they *are* being monitored. Russia, for its part, has denied the claims, calling the allegations “not true” and accusing Ukraine of perpetuating a “provocation” and “fraud.”

I’m sure it’s all fine.
