New Jersey Mayor Says the Drones Might Be Looking for Missing Radioactive Materials
Well, it feels like you could have told us that.
On December 2nd, a bunch of radioactive material went missing, because apparently that can just happen sometimes. The story goes that the material had been ordered but, when the shipment arrived, the container was damaged and the radioactive material was gone.
Now, the material isn’t strong enough to be a real cause for concern for us average folks, but the government isn’t thrilled about the idea of a bunch of radioactive stuff vanishing into thin air. According to this New Jersey mayor, that might be the reason we’ve been seeing drones: It’s the government trying to locate the lost material.
It’s an interesting theory — and one that’s somewhat complicated by the fact that people started reporting drone sightings in mid-November. But hey, at least it’s something!
