Navy Fighter Jet Crashes Directly Into San Diego Harbor

Can anyone fly a plane these days?

There have been a few too many “shitty pilot” stories in the news for comfort as of late. Silly me, I thought you needed *training* to become a pilot, but as it turns out, all you apparently need to do to fly an F-35 is sign a waiver indicating you’re stupid enough to do so.

On the topic of bad pilots, a two-seat EA-18G Growler crashed into the San Diego Harbor on Wednesday. Both pilots managed to eject, so they’re fine — but the $67 million aircraft is definitely toast.
