Mom of Deaf Children Says They Keep Screaming to Test Their Nonexistent Hearing

You’d think they would have figured it out by now.

When I was younger, my friend had a little brother with cochlear implants. Every time his mom was mad at him, he would turn off the implant and run away, knowing deep down that there was nothing she could do about it. This kid was cool.

In short, the kid I knew was well aware of how his deafness worked and how he could use it. These kids, it seems, haven’t figured that out yet. As a result, they’re torturing their mom by screaming all the time.
