Mikhail Gorbachev's Pizza Hut Commercial From 1997 is Giving Us a Serious Case of WTF

Honestly, this broke my brain a little bit.
For those who may not know (or be old enough), Gorbachev was the last leader of the now-defunct Soviet Union. In an interview with the New York Times, he explained that he accepted Pizza Hut's endorsement offer over several others for two reasons - because food "is a people’s matter," and also the fact that they gave him a rumored $1 million which he then used to start his own foundation.
