Michigan Slide Takes Absolutely No Prisoners
The iconic Belle Isle Park slide is back in action, and thrashing riders once again.
The historic Giant Slide at Belle Isle Park in Michigan had just re-opened after a 2 year hiatus thanks to Covid restrictions. However, after a short 4-hour stint, it was clear that the slide wasn't nearly as safe a as it should have been.
I mean let's be real, it's a giant piece of curved metal launching riders down at alarming speeds, and gravity does the rest. One video below shows a rider's shoe get absolutely blasted into oblivion, just in case anyone was wondering the force and impact the slide has.
Some of the sounds the slide makes are even horrifying enough to raise some eyebrows. Allegedly the ride has been closed while maintenance is done to make the slide "safer." Whatever that means. In the meantime, we're sending thoughts and prayers to all the innocent tailbones that have been thrashed thanks to the Belle Isle slide.
The giant slide at Belle Isle Park in Michigan was open for only 4 hours before workers shut it down to make adjustments.
