People Are Freaking Out While Riding in Self-Driving Cars
For years, we’ve been told that self-driving cars are the future. This is very possible, but as recent news stories keep showing us, we’re just not there yet.
Self-driving cars have been known to lose their minds and nearly kill their riders. Despite this, they’re still on the road, with people in select cities putting their lives in the hands of an A.I. in order to save a few bucks on their trip to work.
But, as recent videos show, it’s possible that we’re just not ready for it yet. Every drive in one of these autonomous vehicles includes either 1) a near accident, or 2) the feeling that there could, very soon, be an accident — meaning that you spend the entire ride on edge while waiting for the worst.
This is clear from videos showing autonomous driving experiences. People scream at their cars (which can’t hear them), and in general, the vibe is very “this is cool unless it kills me.”
If that’s how we’ve gotta feel 90 percent of the time in the future, I don’t want it.
