Defendant Mark Char who was convicted of a road rage incident where he kept braking in front of the plaintiff eventually jumped out of his vehicle, pepper-sprayed and then stabbing the victims, decided to show up to court in Honolulu wearing black face to make a statement. It's believed that he used permanent marker.
Mark Char, a resident of Hawaii, was sentenced to life in prison for attempted murder and assault after stabbing one of his victims 5 times. Here's a news report from the original incident.
