I see where he’s coming from.
Lyft and Uber have been a godsend for people who like to get drunk. Back in the day, if you wanted to get hammered in a small town, you had to either walk or risk becoming a news story by driving. Now, with ubiquitous ridesharing services, you can simply hit a button on your phone and have a car bring you right to your doorstep, where you’ll likely promptly throw up.
That said, the driver actually taking you isn’t guaranteed to do it. In this case, a driver showed up to see that his passengers were a group of women who were hammered at 7 a.m. — and in response, he speeded away.
