Karen Decides Scaling Rome’s Trevi Fountain Is the Easiest Way to Re-Fill Her Water Bottle

American tourists’ obsession with Europe’s alleged lack of water hit a new low last month after one Karen decided scaling the Trevi Fountain, climbing over the monument’s rocky base, was the easiest way to refill her water bottle during her Roman vacation.

Though she was ultimately escorted away by a security guard, Lex Jones, a fellow tourist who caught the incident on camera, said she was still shocked by the sight.

"There were signs all over saying that's not allowed,” Jones told ABC News.  "I was just like, wow, this is crazy, so I started videoing it."

Remember, when in Rome, do what the Romans do … and Romans most definitely do not free climb a 400-year-old monument because they can’t be bothered to find a water fountain.
