On an episode of his new podcast, The Problem With Jon Stewart, Jon, and his guests talk about the Goblin in Gringotts, and how they are caricatures of old anti-semitic tropes. Jon at one point said he gasped when he originally saw them in theaters.
The clip in question was apparently a month or two old, and when the clip went viral this week thanks to Reddit, Twitter, and YouTube, Jon released another statement in an attempt to cool down the rage train he created.
So for the lames, Jon Stewart isn't saying J.K. Rowling is Anti-Semitic, but he is saying the goblins in the movies she made look sorta Jewish. Scroll down to see his response video.
