It’s Pretty Easy to Climb Over the Border Wall

When Donald Trump announced that he was going to upgrade our border fence to an all-out border wall, one question came to everyone’s mind: Couldn’t you just, like, climb over it?

It’s a fair question, and one that’s puzzled border wall designers for some time. The Berlin Wall famously had a weirdly round top, as the piping made the wall more difficult to scale — and yet, people still found a way to do so.

Now that a fair share of the border wall has been built, people are putting the wall to the test. In short, how difficult is it to climb?

As it turns out, for an experienced climber, it’s really not that hard. And, for an inexperienced climber, all you really need is a few lengths of rope.
