Around the world, there are people who engage in an activity called “gurning.” This is where you pull the ugliest face possible and, well, that’s it.

This tradition of “having your face look as ugly as possible” is especially popular in the United Kingdom, which is a statement you can pretty easily read into if you’re so inclined. It’s so popular, in fact, that the country has hosted competitions to see who can pull the ugliest face for hundreds of years.
