‘I’m Allowed To Be Here’: Men Fishing Get Shot At By Trigger Happy Neighbor
Fishing is supposed to be relaxing, but it's a little hard to relax while you're being shot at. That's what happened to this man and his buddy Ron who were enjoying a calm afternoon when their trigger-happy neighbor Gary, started shooting.
"Gary, Gary, Gary, calm down Gary," Ron shouts back towards the gunshots. Eventually, Gary comes down to meet the men and explains that he has been having trouble with trespassers and thieves, and was just firing warning shots. While the man filming shakes Gary's hand and says he understands, he is certainly shaken by the incident. "I've owned property, I understand," he says, "but I'm like a little freaked out right now."
"I like how he shoots from so far away that he can’t even tell they’re just fishing," one person commented. "I’ve been on many a rural person’s property," someone else said. "This is not a normal response to seeing people fish in broad daylight."
It's incredible how guns can turn even the most simple misunderstandings into deadly situations. When you go out fishing, it's supposed to be the fish, not the fishermen who are in danger.
