‘I Gave You 23 Years’: Solera Employee’s Slam Management For Letting Go of Staff Via Teams Meeting After They Forgot to Mute Everyone's Mics
It's never easy to let employees go, even if it might help a company's bottom line. And it's never easy being the one let go. But if you are going to layoff employees en-mass, make sure you mute their microphones so they can't all air their feelings toward you.
A lesson Solera learned the hard way after they did just that. "I gave you 23 years of my life." "You're going to crash and burn," another employee foreshadows, as Solera is reportedly keeping their top brass but letting the "expendable" employee go.
"You should get rid of David!" shouts another. "He does nothing!"
The call didn't last long as one of the management team ended the call to save the company's skin, but we are gifted with a full-minute clip that most people would gladly trade a dead-end job to have been part of.
David, we don't know who you are or what you do, but you sound like a real d--k dude.
