What are the odds?
During a home game for the Seattle Krakens taking on the Vancouver Canucks, Nadia Popovici, a Krakens fan sitting behind the Canucks' bench spotted a concerning mole on Brian "Red" Hamilton, one of the team's equipment managers. She motioned him over after the game was through to show him a message she'd typed on her phone to please get the mole checked as it may be cancerous, and it turns out her instincts were right!
Thanks to her early warning, Hamilton was able to get the mole examined and promptly removed after confirming it was indeed cancerous. As a reward for her help, both teams have put $10,000 towards her medical school expenses.
