Here’s What Your Average Russian Thinks About Americans
Braden Bjella Published 09/16/2024
We like to think that Americans are seen pretty well by most people abroad, barring the ones who live in the countries we’ve bombed.
But is this really the case? Although we’d surely like to be seen as strong, valorous spreaders of freedom, go to a bar in Western Europe and say you’re American, and people will be quick to ask you about school shootings, your personal gun collection and express surprise at the fact that you don’t take up three chairs.
Russians have similar stereotypes about Americans. Now, someone has stopped random Ruskis on the street to see what they have to say about the ol’ US of A. Spoiler alert: It’s not the best.
