Guy Breaks Rubik's Cube World Record With Lightning Fast 3.13 Second Time

Attention all nerds, puzzle solvers, and finger fiddlers everywhere: There's a new time to beat if you want to be crowned champion of the classic 3x3x3 Rubik's Cube, and it's a staggeringly quick 3.13 seconds.

Max Park is a 21-year-old Rubik's Cuber from California and currently holds the records for the fastest solves of 4x4x4, 5x5x5, 6x6x6, and 7x7x7 cubes. In fact, the only record he didn't have was the elusive 3x3x3, which he finally shattered by 0.34 seconds last weekend at the Pride in Long Beach event. You could say there is now an undisputed Rubik's GOAT.

"I can’t even tie a tie in 10 minutes and bro does that in 3 seconds," @yronzx commented.

Max has been diagnosed with Autism, but he doesn't let that stop him.

“There was a time when Max couldn’t even open water bottles," his parents said. "But he showed interest in solving Rubik’s Cubes."

With past performances of Max's having been described by cubing veteran Erik Akkersdijk as the most impressive thing he's ever seen, this one certainly ranks right at the top.

Watching any master of their craft is a privilege, and there is no question that Max is currently the undisputed cubing king.
