Gorilla Party Mascot Really Giving It His All

When you were a kid, you might have gone to a birthday party in which someone’s parents (usually a rich kid) got an actor to dress up like Spider-Man or Batman and make an appearance.

As adults in the US of A, we usually don’t do this. However, in other countries, you could find yourself hanging out with a mascot at a party deep into your retirement.

For some reason, one of the more popular examples of the kinds of mascots invited to parties — apart from the ones that are just racist and sexist caricatures — is a person in a gorilla costume. Actually, not just a person in a gorilla costume, but someone wearing a gorilla costume who takes their job way, way too seriously.
