‘Give That Man a Raise’: Phillies Fan Speared Into Next Week By Security Guard After Rushing the Field

Though all eyes may be on the Philadelphia Phillies as they duke it out with the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2023 National League Championship Series, fans of the East Coast team are most definitely not on their best behavior, including one who decided to get in on the fun themselves.

One crazed fan decided to lean into Philadelphians’ reputation as some of America’s most chaotic sports fans on Tuesday night, celebrating the Phillies 10-0 win with a quick sprint through the outfield at Citizens Bank Stadium.

Shortly after running onto the field, the fan’s victory lap was cut short after a very no-nonsense  — and very ripped — security guard full-on-tackled him to the ground, shocking several players who were still in the process of leaving the field.

Though the fan’s fate is unclear, we can only hope his team’s win can soothe the pain of getting sacked by a bouncer for all of Philadelphia — and the entire internet — to see.
