George Bush's Awkward Freudian Slip Lands Him in Hot Water

Dubya practically invited a landslide of trolls this week with a hilariously specific slip of the tongue during a speech at the George W. Bush Institute -- and the internet was listening. The mistake saw the overseer of the invasion of Iraq accidentally denouncing his own campaign that remains a subject of sharp criticism nearly two decades later.

Former President George W. Bush stated Wednesday that it was the "decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq," before swiftly correcting himself and saying he meant Russian President Vladimir Putin's war on Ukraine.

The faux pas, made during speech at the George W. Bush Institute, his presidential center in Dallas, TX, is reminiscent of the many verbal fumbles that "dubya" became infamous for during his own presidency. While the 43rd president laughed it off, blaming the oratory misstep on his age, the clip went viral immediately -- garnering millions of views within just a few hours.
