French Protestors Take Down Squad of Riot Cops With Makeshift Tripwire
Following the murder of 17-year-old Nahel Merzouk by police at point blank range after a car chase outside of Paris, France has been in a state of serious civil unrest.
We covered the protests in March following French president Emmanuel Macron's decision to raise the retirement age by two years, and remarked at the time that the French just do protesting better. But now, following a much more serious and deep cutting incident, violence between police and protestors is at its most intense since 2005, if not ever.
But while these riot police were on their way to evict the occupants of a militant group in Salle de l’Avenir, Brest, they were taken out by a good old fashioned trip wire like a scene straight out of Gary's Mod.
"I honest to God thought it was a painting," @syndrette commented.
"Who walks into a tripwire in 2023, embarrassing," @enjruu added.
The police continued to struggle with an apparent smoke bomb, before reinforcements arrived.
As @colgatelasagna asked in a Twitter poll, "Who would win? The French police state, or, The kid from home alone?"
french cops are incredibly brutal and violent so seeing them fall for Garry's Mod Video Slapstick Comedy Traps is a bizarre kind of catharsis https://t.co/bK5aRLrTRw
