Eddie Vedder Called Ticketmaster On Their BS Back in 1995

The Pearl Jam vs. Ticketmaster beef was one for the ages. Long story very short, the band ultimately gave in, but not before booking venues and tour dates to get around working with Ticketmaster.
After taking their fight to Capitol Hill in 1994, Pearl Jam lead singer Eddie Vedder would take another shot at Ticketmaster a year later at the 1995 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Vedder was inducting Neil Young into the hall, when he suggested a food fight might erupt after the band was seated right next to the Ticketmaster execs.
We're not entirely sure why Ticketmaster was invited to the event, but it's easy to tell the egg was on their faces (metaphorically speaking.) Imagine one of the greatest rock singer/songwriters threatening to start a food fight in a room full of legendary bands and artists...and you're corporate America. Baller move.
