Fans Are Already Recreating the Viral ‘Montgomery Melee’ Boat Fight
Days after the Montgomery Meelee set social media ablaze as a cautionary tale on the dangers of fucking around and finding out, one TikToker has given the incident the treatment it needs and deserves, adapting the brawl into a modern morality play.
On Monday, TikTok sketch comic @funnyent headed to TikTok to share his take on the Montgomery waterfront brawl, recreating the entire ordeal from the comfort of his poolside. Set to the tune of the video’s original sound, the video offered an uncanny beat-for-beat recreation of the viral clip, complete with the infamous tackle, folding chair bash, and of course, everyone’s favorite new superhero, Aquamayne.
“I can’t stop laughing about this,” commented @dr_grayghost_420.
“Incredible. Use this on a Forensic Files episode” suggested @notkahnjunior.
But it wasn’t just their brawling skills and unwavering commitment to the bit that garnered praise — the group's acting chops, too, were quickly deemed to be EGOT worthy.
“The reenactment tho, they need to go to Broadway,” commented @.barbie_babe.
“This is fine theater right here,” Twitter user @naima captioned their re-upload of the video. “Give everybody an independent spirit award or something.”
@funnyent’s Montgomery Melee: Already a better TikTok play than that Ratatouille Musical.
