Much like catching a foul ball, snagging a piece of gear thrown off by an Olympic athlete gives one a souvenir that they can’t get anywhere else — and, in the Paris Olympics’ case, a piece of memorabilia that doesn’t contain the face of their ridiculous mascot.

Following a swimming race, this guy thought he had struck gold after catching an errant pair of goggles tossed aside by a swimmer. However, he was a *little* too psyched to get them, causing the people around him to tell him to please, for the love of god, calm down.
