European Calls Out US for Locking Up Body Wash and Not Letting Her Smoke Outside

She’s right — whatever happened to freedom?
Life in Europe is pretty different to ours in the States. In most European countries, you can simply walk into a store, pick an item off the shelf, pay for it, then leave, at which point you can stop and smoke a cigarette.
This isn’t the case in the United States. Even though shoplifting basically hasn’t increased, stores have decided to lock things behind glass — either to annoy us or as an excuse to have fewer employees monitoring the store. Also, you can’t smoke anywhere anymore!
This European woman visited the United States, noticed these things, and now, she’s complaining about them. I hate to say it, but she’s right.
