Driver Catches Most Obvious Insurance Fraud Attempt Ever
Not only did they ruin their car, but now they’ve got the cops *and* TikTok after them!
In insurance, there’s generally a rule that, if you rear end someone, it was *probably* your fault.
This isn’t a crazy rule to have, as anyone who’s ever driven on the freeway can readily attest. You’re supposed to leave a fair bit of distance between yourself and the car in front of you in the event that they have to make a sudden stop. If you don’t do that, you’re more than likely going to have to foot the bill for any damage your car causes to theirs in the event of such a stop.
Knowing this system, some people try to use it to their advantage by engaging in a sort of insurance fraud where they cut in front of a car, brake, then claim that the previous car hit them.
Making this fraud more difficult is dashcams — and people who won’t play along.
When a car pulled in front of her, the woman driving this car was able to brake in time. However, the potential fraudsters weren’t having it, and so, they backed up into her car — causing a ruckus that she happened to capture on her dashcam.
Now, everyone from the cops to the people of TikTok are working day and night to find these people. Overall, not a great day for the fraudsters!
